No, no, I didn't go to Tiffany and have a croissant :P (I wish though)
2020 was lousy for almost the whole world! We stayed in our PJs, watched movies, and worked our asses off from the comfort of our homes.
While I did all of these, I also got absorbed in the loop of watching old Hollywood classics. Wanting to have an Audrey vibe for 2021, I entered the New Year by watching Breakfast at Tiffany's.
A cab drops a beautiful woman at an early dawn of New York in front of Tiffany while a peaceful music plays in the backdrop. That's when I decided that this is going to be my vibe for the rest of my life. The movie takes off from there by introducing Holly Golightly to the world and how she cruises through life by meeting different people in unexpected circumstances.
Talking about the after effects, my 2021 bucket list now includes a nameless cat, a handsome neighbor, goals to get rich, Holly's wardrobe collection and settling down in New York for the love of the city.
Holly loses her cat and the sense to realize that her true love has been on her side for months and ends up finding both of them at the same time. I guess this scene will resonate with all of us, making us explore and find a lot of things in life.
Named as one of the most aesthetically pleasing films, Breakfast at Tiffany's definitely lives up to the name. If you'd like to vibe with 1960s New York, Audrey, the taxis and Tiffany, do not miss out this film :D
